Where our farm took root

Rio Lucero Farms began more than a decade ago on the backroads of Taos, New Mexico, along the Rio Lucero, where a few small plots — and a deep love for growing food in the high desert - set everything in motion. What started as a modest family project has steadily expanded from less than an acre to three thriving growing sites, with a fourth on the horizon. Today, the farm provides fresh produce to the Taos Farmers Market and local restaurants, and the family is woking towards opening a permanent store front and farm store. Through it all, the Pattersons and farm crew continue to learn, grown, and share their harvest with the community.

Growing Together

We value the community of Northern New Mexico deeply and believe contributing to local food systems is a crucial way to build both a resilient, sustainable ecosystem and community. That is why we never use chemicals or pesticides in order to provide safe, nutritious food. We sell weekly at the Taos Farmers Market where we look forward to the connections we have made, and continue to foster. We strive to sell our veggies at affordable prices and also are available via WIC and SNAP benefits.
